Canadian Standards Association (CSA) is a leading standards development organization involved in a standards development forum known as CANENA, which is committed to developing draft harmonized standards for the nations of the Americas. Stakeholders from Canada, the U.S. and Mexico have been involved with CANENA since 1992. CANENA is the Spanish acronym for this forum and stands for the Council for Harmonization of Electrotechnical Standards of the Nations of the Americas.
Through their participation in this forum, CSA technical committees are reviewing draft CANENA electrical safety standards for their potential to become CSA standards, thereby harmonizing the standards initially within North America.
This site will provide CSA's members and customers with monthly status reports for all CANENA harmonization projects currently underway. A staff contact list allows visitors to reach participating CSA Project Managers, who will be able to assist in answering questions related to harmonization projects.
