Toronto, March 22, 2010 – Ash Sahi, President and CEO, CSA Group, today officially announced the appointment of Suzanne Kiraly to the newly-created position of Executive Vice-President, Government Relations, CSA Group. In her role as Executive Vice-President, Ms. Kiraly will be responsible for strengthening and solidifying existing relationships with key stakeholders in governments in North America and globally. Additionally, she will work to identify new government relations opportunities in emerging markets, for growing program areas such as climate change and new energy technologies. The new appointment is effective as of April 1, 2010.
"Suzanne has more than 23 years of in-depth business knowledge combined with extensive management experience across CSA Group's business divisions," said Ash Sahi. "The breadth of her strategic knowledge, combined with international leadership experience, passion and drive will be invaluable in further positioning CSA Group as the foremost provider of standards solutions, related training, testing and certification, product performance and advisory services for the national and global marketplace."
Suzanne Kiraly has held a variety of senior management and executive positions within CSA Group, including positions in Standards, Certification and the Corporate divisions. Most recently, Ms. Kiraly served as President, Standards, CSA Standards. In this role she is was responsible for the leadership and strategic development of the standards division of CSA Group. Previously, Ms. Kiraly was based in Hong Kong where she served as Vice President, International Services, CSA International. In this role she was responsible for building CSA International's network of product testing and certification outside of North America and she expanded CSA's network in China, India, and Korea. Prior to her role in International Services, Kiraly helped spearhead the successful business expansion of CSA International Certification offices in Europe through the establishment of a facility in The Netherlands. Suzanne has also held the position of Director of Marketing and Communications, for CSA Group where she led a multi-faceted team in market research, advertising, public relations, and corporate communications.
Ms. Kiraly holds an Honour's degree from Wilfrid Laurier University, and has studied Marketing at George Brown College and Queen's University.
