Sustaining Members

Sustaining Members are members who financially support the ongoing development of standards through annual membership dues. In return for their financial contributions, Sustaining Members receive valuable and timely information in the areas of standards development that are most important to them.

Information

Sustaining Members receive regular information about how standards are being used in certification and management systems registration. It is easy to keep up to date with the work of over 1300 committees and 1500 publications we currently have with a Sustaining Membership. The following publications are available at no charge to Sustaining Members:

Current Standards Activities provides complete coverage of new standards, new projects, and a wealth of details on the progress of committee work. This publication which is also available electronically, provides notice of new editions, withdrawals, amendments and interpretation on standards.

Perspectives is a newsletter published 3 times a year, that describes initiatives underway in the world of standards and provides some current news on member initiatives and member recognition.

Certification News is a bulletin that provides the latest news about our certification and testing programs.

Regulator's Update Designed for electrical, gas and building authorities in Canada and the U.S. It contains valuable information on certification markings, requirements, product recalls and more.

What's new in membership - look for new members, upcoming events, special deals for members and recognition articles, etc.

A Sustaining Membership provides members with direct and personal assistance through the CSA Member Hotline (special unlisted telephone number), or through our member e-mail address: member@csa.ca

We are as close as your phone, fax or e-mail when you need quick answers or want to connect with technical experts for information.

How to become a Sustaining Member?

A Sustaining Membership can be purchased for only $350 Canadian dollars a year. If you wish to receive more information or apply to become a Sustaining Member, contact our Membership Coordinator at (416) 747-4316; fax: (416) 747-2510, or you can apply by filling out the on-line application form . All applications for membership are subject to the approval of the Board of Directors.
