Committee Members

Committee Members are CSA's most valuable resource. They carry the responsibilities for providing information, technical expertise, and direction that keeps CSA Standards Development programs focused on CSA 's purpose. Our volunteer committee members work together with our staff to develop standards that meet the needs of business and people. In return, Committee Members gain valuable experience in their own professional development as well as a sense of satisfaction in having contributed towards the development of standards that are important to Canadians at home and internationally.

Committee Members volunteer their time and we recognize that this time is limited and represents a cost to the sponsoring organization. To ensure we make the most productive use of our Committee Members' time, CSA offers training sessions for both Committee Members and Committee Chairs. These sessions assist members in understanding the CSA policies and procedures that govern the standards development process. They also serve to explain to members their role as a member of a Standards Development Committee.

How do I become a Committee Member?

CSA values the contributions made by all Committee Members. If you are interested in applying to become a CSA Committee Member or receiving more information on our various standards development programs, please contact Member Services at (416) 747-2567, Fax: (416) 401-6975 or you can apply by filling out the on-line application form .
