IEC is the International Electrotechnical Commission, a worldwide body focusing on the international harmonization of standards for electrical, electronic, and telecommunications products and systems. Currently there are approximately 200 governmental and non-governmental organizations that work with IEC, representing more than 50 member countries.
CSA works closely with IEC, developing and harmonizing standards.
